A clamor in the face of wildfires: motorcycle routes can be acts of solidarity
The La Ruta + Fea project is an initiative that combines a passion for motorcycles with forest regeneration
This summer has been marked by especially devastating wildfires. The Spanish branch of Triumph invites the biker community to join forces. By doing so, they can bring life back to the hardest-hit areas.
Triumph joined this collaborative initiative over a year ago. The results speak for themselves. The outcome is Bikerwood Forest.
It has been created thanks to contributions from motorcyclists and already has 266 trees planted. This translates into 38,350 sq. ft. (3,561 m²) recaused. In addition, there are more than 2,535 lbs. (1.15 t) of CO₂ absorbed, 211 cu. ft. (6 m³) of water retained, and 83 hours of rural employment.

For example, in areas such as Collados Pasiegos, in Cantabria. These are not just numbers. They are proof that every route and every tree matter to reverse the impact of fire.
The Ugliest Route
The Ruta + Fea is not about brands or styles. Any motorcyclist can participate by planting trees through the website. They will also find up to 17 specific routes that cross affected areas, available in GPX and Google Maps formats.
These are roads in Alicante, Navarra, Cáceres, Teruel, Burgos, or Málaga. They still offer landscapes and curves, and now provide a unique opportunity. The goal is to ride while promoting the recovery of rural areas.

Official Triumph dealerships have played a key role in this initiative. They organize rides to burned areas and weekend getaways to see the impact of fire up close.
This way, they support the local population. When the wildfire risk subsides, these experiences will be repeated.
Motorcyclist commitment
The commitment goes beyond riding routes. You can also create your own itineraries and share images.

You can even plant a tree directly for less than €15, depending on the species. Every gesture counts, because riding and regenerating are not opposing paths.
We are in a context where wildfires show no mercy. Triumph and the biker community show that motorcycles can be engines of positive change.
More trees, more routes, more reasons to ride again through the places we love.
