The Honda CUV e: writes a new chapter in urban electrification
The electric Honda CUV e: arrives to expand the emerging range of this two-wheeled line-up in its European catalog
The new Honda CUV e: is Honda's second electric scooter for our market after the EM1 e: from the Japanese brand. It not only represents an evolution in numbers, but also a qualitative leap in terms of concept, technological integration and ambition of use.
The acronym CUV (Clean Urban Vehicle) was used by Honda in Japan in the 1990s, and the new e: boasts a familiar architecture.
It uses a conventional steel frame, short-travel suspension, and 12-inch wheels. It introduces a completely different propulsion system, including a double removable battery, and next-generation connectivity through the Honda RoadSync Duo app.

This new digital environment allows users to control charging status, plan routes, and update the system remotely and automatically. All of this is displayed on a 7-inch TFT screen.
Honda CUV e: data
Compared to the EM1 e:, the new Honda CUV e: delivers 8 hp (6 kW) of power and 16 lb-ft (22 Nm) of torque with instant and silent delivery. Its range exceeds 43 mi. (70 km) thanks to a pair of Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries for quick swapping.
This modular battery approach opens the door to less urban uses and longer trips. This makes it a more versatile and appealing vehicle for everyday use.
The design doesn't stray from Honda's standards, with compact proportions, tasteful finishes, and well-thought-out solutions. The quality of the peripheral components is impressive, such as the LED lighting units and the switches. Also notable are the smart key system and even the reverse assist.

Honda has also paid attention to practical aspects. Under the seat, there is space for small everyday items.
It is complemented by a front glove compartment and the possibility of expanding capacity with original cases and a trunk. A USB-C charging port completes its functional approach.
Honda CUV e: prices and availability
The new electric scooter will be available starting in September in three colors: pearl white, matte black, and metallic silver.
Its starting price is 4,000 euros in its version with a 5-inch TFT screen. One option is 4,550 euros if users choose the full connectivity system.

With this launch, Honda is not only adding a new model to its electric range. It is also reaffirming a much broader vision, where the Mobile Power Pack e: battery is interchangeable and modular.
This energy concept has gone beyond the motorcycle field: it is already used in industrial vehicles, agricultural solutions, karts, and even light boats.

Its philosophy is not limited to transportation. It seeks to provide accessible, clean, and safe energy in a wide variety of contexts, a kind of portable energy democratization.
Honda is laying the foundations for a new way of understanding urban mobility. The CUV e: is, for now, its most advanced expression.
