ACEM and FIM present the 'Guide for Instructors of Voluntary Post-License Training in Motorcycling' for your safety
The European Motorcycle Training Quality Label (European Motorcycle Training Quality Label) has presented the "Guide for Post-License Voluntary Motorcycle Training Instructors".
The framework of the MotoGP Assen Grand Prix, one of the most iconic weekends in motorcycle competition, was used for this purpose.
This guide is a key component of the large-scale European promotional campaign "Learn, Ride, Enjoy, Repeat" by ACEM, the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers and FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.
Experience as a starting point
It is based on the scientific analysis of accidents by the Connected Motorcycle Consortium, developed through a collaboration between high-quality training schools awarded the Quality Label of the European Motorcycle Training and leading academic institutions.
The initiative thus aims to improve training standards throughout Europe by addressing the most frequent motorcycle accident scenarios.
This is an innovative evidence-based approach that has allowed training experts and researchers to establish a specific training methodology.
Therefore, it has been designed to help motorcyclists develop the necessary cognitive and practical skills to anticipate and avoid the most common dangerous situations.
Expert support
Training experts from certified schools such as KNMV (Netherlands), SMC (Sweden), and VSV (Belgium) have actively participated in the development of this guide, along with prominent academic partners from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), the Würzburg Institute for Traffic Sciences (WIVW), the Institute for Motorcycle Safety (IFZ), the Traffic Accident Research of TU Dresden (VUFO), and the Austrian Road Safety Board (KFV).

In Spain, HIS (Honda Safety Institute) already holds the certification of the European Motorcycle Training Quality Label, which guarantees the highest level and quality of training.
It has also participated in the development process of this comprehensive Guide.
Motorcycle safety culture
The goal of this initiative is to create a stronger safety culture within the European motorcycling community.
This is a natural evolution of the European Motorcycle Training Quality Label and reflects a shared commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and responsibility.
The Guide for instructors will be offered upon request and free of charge to all training schools interested in improving the quality of their post-license training programs.
To ensure broader dissemination, the guide will also be shared with organizations planning to establish voluntary motorcycle safety training programs in countries where these options remain limited.
