The first electric motorcycle from number 1 is already riding on streets and highways

It's one of the most desired models. The world's number one brand has already announced their entry into the high-performance electric motorcycle segment.

Now we see the almost final result. The action images confirm the expectations. 

The Honda EV FUN Concept is already riding on European roads and streets. This isn't just a simple prototype. It's the brand's first major electric motorcycle, designed with the clear intention of keeping intact the emotional essence that defines Honda. 

This concept motorcycle burst onto the scene for the first time at EICMA 2024. Back then, it sparked great interest due to its approach.  

It's a mid-size electric naked, with a fixed battery and fast-charging system CCS2. It's the same standard that dominates the automobile sector. Technology, yes, but with an approach that seeks the essential pleasure of riding a motorcycle. 

A Honda project that reaches its goal 

Behind this project is the figure of Masatsugu Tanaka. He's an engineer with more than 20 years at Honda, which vouch for his career. 

It's enough to review his track record to understand why he was trusted with this challenge. He was a key piece in the fine-tuning of iconic models. The memorable CBR600F, CBR1000RR Fireblade, and Gold Wing are his. 

His work has always been to perfect their dynamic qualities. Later, as the leader of major projects, he signed off on developments such as the VFR1200F, the CrossTourer, and the impressive Africa Twin.  

In 2022, his experience shifted terrain. He fully entered electrification without losing sight of the essence of a fun motorcycle. 

Be the wind 

The concept that defines this model is as evocative as its mission: "Be the wind." It's not an empty slogan.  

The Honda EV FUN Concept promises that feeling of lightness and total connection between rider and machine. It will do so with the smoothness and silence typical of an electric. But without giving up the character that every motorcyclist expects when twisting the right grip. 

Tanaka explains it clearly: "We've applied everything we've learned from combustion engines to this new path. We want an exciting, reliable motorcycle designed for everyday use."  

That's why they've thoroughly tested the model on European roads, the natural habitat of those who will enjoy it. They analyze everything from charge management to ergonomics and dynamic response. 

Every detail has been polished so this Honda not only delivers, but also excites. The result? A naked that aims to become the brand's electric benchmark.  

Likewise, it stands as a preview of what's to come at Honda. Their goal is zero-emission motorcycles, but with the sporty and passionate DNA that has marked generations.
