Motorcycle brand with 60 years makes its first SUV scooter: it's not Chinese
This Asian brand is one of the best-selling in Spain
The landscape of trail philosophy scooters keeps attracting more followers. Honda was a pioneer with its X-ADV, a symbiosis between a motorcycle and a scooter that hasn't had a direct rival in the market.
No model has come close to its 750 cc (45.8 cu in.) displacement. Nor to its dual-clutch DCT proposal.
The Japanese brand is also a benchmark among versions specifically designed for the A2 license. This is the case with Honda ADV 350, a top seller in its segment.
But competition is tightening. In 2025, the best-selling scooter for the A2 license is the Zontes 368G. This shows that these trail-style models are on the rise.

SYM shows its strengths among SUV scooters
The latest major player to join this trend is SYM. The Taiwanese brand is one of the leaders in the scooter segment. That's why its most desired proposal was eagerly awaited.
The SYM ADXTG 400 comes to complete an extended SYM ADX series in 125 and 300 versions. It was created to connect with a trail profile without giving up urban practicality.

With a price of €6,999, free insurance for the first year, and five years of official warranty, the ADXTG 400 arrives as the flagship of the SYM range. It does so accompanied by advanced technology and structural solutions rarely seen in its category.
It moves away from the traditional scooter layout with the classic engine mounted on the rear axle with belt drive. This SYM is closer to a motorcycle configuration. It features an engine fixed to the chassis, chain drive, and independent swingarm.
What the SYM ADXTG 400 is like
The single-cylinder 399 cc (24.3 cu in.) engine delivers 35 hp and 37.2 Nm (27.4 lb-ft) of torque. It's managed by a Hyper-VVS variable valve timing system that adapts the engine's response to each situation.
The dual balance shaft reduces vibrations and the centrifugal clutch ensures more direct acceleration.

In the chassis department, the approach is decisive: 41 mm (1.6 in.) inverted fork, rear shock absorber with linkages, and reinforced chassis. The braking system uses generously sized discs, Bosch ABS and switchable traction control, which allows some leeway in off-road riding.
In terms of equipment, it includes a color LCD screen, Smart Key, USB port, and adjustable handlebar. It has 32 L (1.13 cu ft.) of under-seat storage, a tool-free adjustable windshield, and a reinforced skid plate.
The SYM ADXTG 400 is a scooter that thinks, behaves, and is enjoyed like a motorcycle. It's an option that not only expands SYM's crossover range. It redefines what can be expected from a model in its category.
