The new retro trail motorcycle for the A2 license from a legendary brand
The Triumph Scrambler 400 XC was created as a true trail bike at the heart of the mid-displacement segment
As a centennial brand, the English marque Triumph recaptures the original pulse of the scrambler spirit with a proposal aimed at the A2 license. Triumph does so with inspiration from the iconic Scrambler 1200 XC.
The new Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is a compact adventure bike that doesn't just imitate the past, but reinterprets the concept through design and real-world functionality. It is capable of tackling off-road trails with the technical prowess of a trail bike, yet without betraying a rebellious and urban character.

Beneath its classic Hinckley-style silhouette, the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC features a chassis developed specifically for mixed use. The suspension system includes an inverted fork and 5.9 in. (150 mm) of travel on both axles. The goal is to strike a balance between on-road comfort and off-road durability.

The 19 in. (48.3 cm) front wheel and 17 in. (43.2 cm) rear wheel are both made by Excel. They are equipped with side spokes and Metzeler tubeless tires for mixed use. All of this confirms its true vocation for all types of terrain.
Engine and first-class electronics in the Triumph Scrambler 400 XC
The engine, a 398 cc single-cylinder developed by Triumph, delivers 39.4 hp (40 CV) at 8,000 rpm and 27.7 lb-ft (37.5 Nm) of maximum torque at 6,500 rpm. Therefore, it is suitable for the A2 license. Like all Triumph "singles," it is manufactured by Bajaj under British specifications.
As with the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, it stands out for its immediate response, constant low-end thrust, and clean power delivery. Its electronics rely on a Bosch ECU and feature ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, and ABS with Off-Road mode.

A scrambler from head to toe
Its riding position features a seat height of 32.9 in. (835 mm), a wide handlebar, and footpegs designed for standing riding. Nevertheless, they remain optimal for city and highway riding.
The weight distribution and geometry enhance its agility. Meanwhile, the braking system is top-notch. This is shown by a 12.6 in. (320 mm) front disc, for example.

As a true scrambler, it includes details such as the raised fender, aluminum skid plate, and high-mounted silencer. The tank with knee indents also stands out.
The new Triumph Scrambler 400 XC offers an affordable adventure without sacrificing authenticity. It invites riders to improvise routes and reconnect with an essential way of understanding the motorcycle as unconditional freedom.

With the full guarantee of a benchmark brand in every segment in which Triumph markets its motorcycles.
